Printing and assembly guide

Prepare your source, check the paper and finished size, then open the exported PDF before printing. PDF preparation and physical printing are separate steps.

The free version supports images and samples in Easy Poster on A4 or US Letter, up to a 2×2 layout, with standard quality and standard PDF export. PDF and SVG import, actual-size patterns, other specialized modes, and custom assembly instructions require a one-time Pro purchase.

Start with a free output

Choose Easy Poster and an image or sample. Use A4 or US Letter, no more than 2 rows and 2 columns, standard quality and standard PDF. Do not enable Pro-only options such as custom assembly instructions. Open the saved PDF to check that it contains the intended pages.

Paper, margins and overlap

The paper size is not the printable area. Margins, overlap and the source proportions affect the finished size: four A4 sheets do not necessarily make an exact A2 poster. Match the PDF paper to the printer paper and inspect the seams in the preview.

Check and calibrate

Measure the 100mm verification line or calibration square with a ruler. Check both axes and the print settings before compensating. Applying a saved X/Y printer calibration profile requires Pro. Calibration does not guarantee that every printer has zero error.

Assemble the sheets

Place pages in label order before cutting. Identify the trim side and overlap band, align neighboring guides, and temporarily secure the sheets before final assembly. Test the joining method on a small print.

PDF input and output

PDF import requires Pro. If the source has multiple pages, choose the one page to tile. Standard PDF export is available under all free conditions; high-quality PDF, high quality, line-art quality and line-width correction require Pro. Open the output and inspect small text and seams.

Save and transfer projects

Save the project in the app. Export a .postersplit file to make a snapshot, then import it on another device. Import creates new projects and does not overwrite existing ones. Later edits do not update the exported file. Purchase rights are not transferred; Pro output restrictions still apply.

Troubleshooting

For unexpected size, check PDF paper, printer paper and scaling. For inaccessible sources, confirm file access, download cloud files locally and check free storage. For purchasing problems, use Restore Purchases and check the Apple Account used for the purchase. Contact support with app version, device, OS, steps and error text; sending your source file is not required.

Uses

Free within these conditions

Print a photo across A4 sheets

Start with an image in Easy Poster. A4 or US Letter, up to 2×2, standard quality and standard PDF let you try the workflow for free.

Requires Pro

Tile-print one large PDF page or drawing

Choose one page from a PDF and split that page across printer sheets. PDF import and Drawing PDF mode require Pro; this is not PDF merging or batch conversion.

Requires Pro

Print patterns at actual size

Use a known reference dimension to prepare a full-size pattern. Actual-size mode and PDF import require Pro. Measure a test print before printing everything.

Requires Pro

Make a life-size poster

Set reference points and a target height for a person or object. Life-size mode requires Pro; a photo does not reveal the real dimensions automatically.

Requires Pro

Print a banner across ordinary paper

Prepare a wide design and check sheet order and seams. Banner mode requires Pro even when the design uses only a few sheets.
